    Excella Consulting is pursuing a Process Improvement and QA Lead to lead the firm's certification and quality efforts, including providing oversight for CMMI Dev Level 3 and ISO 9001/20000/27000 compliance. We are seeking a highly motivated lead who will organize, direct, coordinate and monitor Excella's appraisal efforts and ongoing compliance to standards. The successful candidate will have experience working at all levels of organizations to develop processes and documentation that are audit-worthy, identify opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity by modifying existing processes and workflows, introduce process automation, develop new performance standards and metrics, report metrics, measure the success of process improvement initiatives, and promote the adoption of industry defined best practices. 



    • Conduct internal preparations for appraisals, including but not limited to documenting processes to prepare for appraisal, identification of in scope projects, coordination with internal service leads and process authors, mapping process documentation to CMMI practices.
    • Facilitate necessary trainings and appraisals, including sourcing and selecting external vendors, coordinating with internal staff required to attend training, serving as a lead member of the appraisal team, identifying and coordinating with internal appraisal team members as well as external appraisers.
    • Prepare formal pricing recommendations and executive level briefings for external vendor training and appraiser selection and costs.
    • Maintain and coordinate internal updates to process documentation artifacts over time.
    • Establish internal Process Engineering Group for ongoing compliance documentation needs.
    • Educate internal stakeholders on various standards including but not limited to CMMI and ISO.
    • As CMMI SME, perform as process improvement and QA lead for the functional work areas and services within Excella. Survey/benchmark and analyze best practices for techniques and processes. Facilitate identification of and capture of metrics. Coach others in implementing best practices within the organization. Create and review communication plans regarding process improvement and re-engineering strategies for multiple stakeholders. Develop materials to assist personnel with implementing defined processes. 




    • Bachelor's Degree in business, accounting, information systems or similar
    • Demonstrated experience leading successful implementation of CMMI Level 3 or higher
    • Minimum 5+ years relevant business experience
    • Demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders and practitioners
    • Ability to make sound business decisions and use appropriate judgment
    • Self-initiator with ability to work independently
    • Strong relationship building and verbal/written communication skills
    • One or more of the following certifications: PMP, FAC-P/PM Level 3, ITIL Intermediate Level or better, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or better 
    • Preferred:
      • Demonstrated experience with successful implementation of ISO 9001/20000/27000
      • Masters in Business Administration (MBA)
      • 8+ Years relevant business experience
