    DevSecOps Engineers at Excella are consultants and thought leaders with great business and technology skills. We're delivering game changing products and applications for commercial and government clients. We are looking for a DevSecOps Engineer who is passionate about the confluence of automation, security and reliability.  We want someone that knows how to build secure cloud infrastructures using the latest networking, virtualization, automation, and configuration management tools and can bring their experience to bear as part of an Agile team.  Experience in large-scale, mission critical systems is preferred but not required.

    Responsibilities

    • Building, running, administering, troubleshooting, deploying to and configuring highly reliable production services on Linux (Windows a big plus)
    • AWS provisioning, configuration management, storage management, network management, virtualization (VMWare/Xen/KVM)
    • Creating automated CI/CD pipelines and automating all aspects of our infrastructure
    • Mentoring team members in continuous delivery practices to grow a strong, cross functional team
    • Developing and improving standards for security (via security as code) across a continuous delivery environment and cloud-based production deployments
    • Providing leadership, guidance and direction on security and being an influencer across teams to follow security standards and implement security best practices

    Qualifications

    Agile Engineering is a way of life for us; we turn modern best practices into reality for our clients. We're looking for driven, motivated engineers to join our growing DevSecOps team who can exhibit the following:

    • 5+ years with networking and network/system security, including firewalls, VPN, routing, switching, load balancers, monitoring, security and DNS
    • 3+ years experience running large scale online systems built on AWS or similar cloud providers
    • 3+ years experience building automated pipelines
    • Have written scripts or built applications in Python/Ruby/Bash
    • Worked with container technologies (Docker & Kubernetes) in production
    • Worked with open source monitoring and metrics tools (Nagios/Sensu/Graphite/statsd/ELK)
    • Full end-to-end understanding of CI/CD pipeline and how to assess them from a security point of view
    • Experience with both Static and Dynamic Application Security Testing methodologies and tools
    • Ability to employ best practices in an enterprise scale continuous delivery environment and harden production deployments
    • Strong understanding of security concepts, best practices and how to apply them, such as SSH, public key encryption, access credentials, certificates, TLS, data encryption
