  • Overview

    We are currently looking for people to serve as ScrumMasters for software development and data solution teams that have chosen to adopt Agile. The ideal candidate is a team player with demonstrated success supporting self-organizing teams by helping them achieve their goals. They do so by effectively applying, implementing, and reinforcing Scrum principles and focusing on continuous improvement, including the ongoing training and growth of the team.  The ScrumMaster will be supporting clients in the Baltimore, MD region.


    • Ensures that all Scrum ceremonies are appropriately facilitated
    • Assists the team in achieving their sprint goals by consistently reinforcing good Scrum principles and practices, and helping the team continuously improve.
    • Eliminates impediments and removes blockers by working with a wide range of stakeholders until a resolution is reached, so that the team can remain focused on achieving their objectives
    • Works closely with the Product Owner to ensure that the prioritization and business value of all stories is fully understood, and works with the team to create solid, well defined user stories
    • Works with the Product Owner and Business Sponsors on long-term release planning
    • Creates and communicates usable metrics
    • Leads the ongoing training and education efforts of the team


    • Strong understanding of servant leadership and the Agile Manifesto's values and principles, and how to apply these to help a team
    • Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and Lean principles
    • Desire to be involved in the Agile community
    • Excellent interpersonal skills including organizational, team building, and issue resolution
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills including working with stakeholders at all levels of an organization
    • Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills with a proven ability at making teams successful
    • High-level of flexibility, creativity, and innovation
    • Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working under pressure
    • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) and/or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification (preferred)
