• Finance and Operations Director

  • Overview

    Manages finance, accounting, and operations for our $5 million technology and training startup organization which was recently spun-off division from a 300-person consulting firm.

    This position will establish overall financial and operational practices, including recruiting, HR, payroll, finance, office administration, and information technology.


    Reports directly to the Chief Executive.


    Location - Arlington, VA; can work remotely up to 2 days a week


    • Establish and operate Finance and Accounting competencies via vendors, software, and staff, to include payroll, financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, and e-commerce. This also includes financial controls, managing cash flow, and forecasting.
    • Establish and operate legal and contractual practices via vendors and staff to support employee, client, and supplier relationships. This includes insurance and federal and state statutory filings.
    • Work with business unit leaders to establish and operate workforce practices and policies including compensation, performance management, and H/R. This includes working with vendors to deliver and administer premium benefits for our workforce.
    • Work with recruiting staff and vendors to grow our organization’s workforce with talented, passionate contributors.
    • Work with Chief Executive to establish and operate office facilities to meet our organizational needs to support our training practices and our campus-based career-building centers. This includes our information technology environment.
